The Road of Good Intentions
This is something I've been working on in one form or another for maybe ten months:

It's my real first foray back into painting. I used to paint just about every day, and won some awards even, but I got out of it for I don't know what reasons. Anyway, this one was very satisfying by the time I was done with it. I used spraypaint, india ink, oil pastel, and acrylic paint on it. Here's a detail:

The black is obviously the india ink. The tan and the dark red are spraypaint. The orange triangles are oil pastel. The orange and red swirls are acrylic paint. I then took the sides of a white, a red, and a black oil pastel and ran them lightly over the whole surface to unify the elements and bring out the built-up texture. Pretty fun.
Hopefully this'll be the first in a series of new paintings. I'm already thinking on what I'll do next. You know, a projector would come in really handy...
