18 Down, 78 To Go
POW!

Kevin, I got a question for you: How would you go about lettering this, seeing how the final look is going to be? I've got a while to worry about it yet, but it's something that's bugging me. I was flipping through my copy of George Pratt's Enemy Ace GN today, and noticed that he colored all of his dialogue balloons a light blue, making it tie in with the art a little better, not being so blatant. I also looked at David Lloyd's new GN, Kickback, and saw that he didn't put any outlines at all around his dialogue balloons or text boxes, which worked for him rather well. Of course, I also hated the font he used, finding it to be kinda fugly.
But, I liked how with both of these, there was an obvious attempt to make the lettering more a part of the process, which I want to do myself.
